How We Help
We help New Yorkers overcome barriers to homeownership. Our comprehensive perspective allows us to highlight issues and convene stakeholders so we can support homeowners at scale and advance systemic change. Together, we’re delivering capital, programs, services, outreach, and education to build thriving communities—for this generation and the next.
Outreach & Education
Working with public and private partners, the Center delivers information and resources to homeowners across the state on topics such as foreclosure and scam prevention, climate resilience, home repair resources and homebuying assistance.
Programs & Services
The Center and its partners provide New Yorkers with free housing counseling and legal services to resolve ownership debt and navigate complex issues such as estate planning and inherited homes.
Consumer Capital
Through its subsidiary CDFI, the Center annually lends millions of dollars of mission driven capital for below market financing and home repairs, providing financial assistance that allows New Yorkers to stay in their homes both now and for years to come.
Policy & Research
The Center's policy and research work leverages insights from partners and programs to highlight trends, emerging needs and solutions, to remove barriers to homeownership in New York.
